Ventoy – My Favourite Bootable USB Solution
Tired of having multiple USB sticks for bootable ISO images for installing operating systems? Use Ventoy! You can download Ventoy to prepare a USB stick, then you simply copy all your ISO images to the USB stick. When you boot from the USB stick, the Ventoy boot menu will appear, and you can select from the list of ISO images.
For me, I copied the following ISO’s:
- Windows 10 22H2
- Windows 11 22H2
- Proxmox VE
- Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS
- Ubuntu Desktop 22.04 LTS
- Vmware ESXI
Download Ventoy here: https://www.ventoy.net/en/download.html.
Plug in an empty USB stick, large enough to hold all your bootable ISO images.
Open Ventoy --> Select your USB stick --> Select Install
Acknowledge the prompt to format the USB stick.
Once the process in complete, you can now copy all your bootable ISO images to the USB stick, then safely eject the USB stick.
To use, boot from the USB stick, and the Ventoy boot menu will be displayed. Select the ISO image you wish to run. Happy installing!
